‘No Rock’ by ‘The Sands Of Time’

Sands Of Time

Finally, after 24 years, the release our very own ‘Metal Machine Music’,

‘No Rock’ by the secretive ‘Sands Of Time’ an early version of the AKF, was recorded in an undisclosed location with a Pink Floyd connection in one misty morning in 1993.

Two compositions, 1.Valhalla 2. Merlin.

The two halves of the Division Bell heads were used as a Binaural recording platform for the performance.

Say yes to No Rock!

No instruments were harmed in the making of this recording.

New Skin Patrol Release ‘Rock Section (One Night In Paris)’ 1981

Recently unearthed, the only known recording of Skin Patrol’s Rock Section concept album ‘One Night In Paris’, recorded around the time of the 131 gig in 1981.

Everything’s happening like a landslide
A landslide going on up
But stagnant water is
Lying over me
As a voice whispers in my ear
Hey Jim , look over there
Two gendarmes at the end of the bath
With my battered guitars in their hands
Clanking on their guns
Singing ‘La Mer’
I slide out of consciousness
And wonder where you are

Landslide by Vortex Patrol

Vortex Patrol Landslide 040

What ended up as the ‘Everything’s Happening’ LP was originally destined to be the next One Million Fuzztone Guitars album, but when it became clear that was not going to happen (because they did not want to come out to play) became Landslide by Vortex Patrol. The band name was suggested for us by Jim Morrison in the ‘Rock Section’ seances.
Later remixed with live drums and released as ‘Everything’s Happening’ by Robert Courtney this early version features two ‘lost tracks’ that did not fit (due to space constraints) on the finished LP (should have been a double).

Hope you like it.

Play it LOUD!

But remember,

We are not responsible for your speakers…..

Big Jake.
